FAQs

  • I am a full time working mom of two young children, and The Heirloom Lilac Company is my passion project. I work on my customer orders in the evenings after the kids are asleep. I will communicate in advance how long your order will take, and be as communicative as possible throughout the process.

Typical turnaround for smaller projects such as the pouches and cosmetics bags are three to four days, and larger items such as duffle bags and quilts can take up to four weeks.

Turnaround times also depend on if I have the materials on hand, and how quickly I can procure your fabric selections. I have a decent amount of materials on hand, but operating as a small business, I purchased fabric as I need it versus buying a surplus to always have in stock. Thank you for your understanding!

  • Within reason, of course! I always reserve to right to say no to a project or design that I don’t feel I am qualified for. As an example, I am currently not accepting orders for t-shirt quilts because I don’t feel comfortable working on those yet, and I wouldn’t want to accidentally destroy your sentimental fabrics.

After you submit your form and give me a general idea of what you’re looking for, I will collaborate with you to determine a design that fits your vision.

  • All sales are final, including custom embroidered crafts. I will work with you to make the item right if it arrives damaged or destroyed.

  • Depends. I always give credit to and purchase the patterns from designers. I will not make a quilt or items based off of an image you see, as that is piracy of another creator’s work.

If you found a quilt pattern that you like, and are able to point me in the direction of where the pattern can be purchased from, I will happily work with you to procure the pattern and create your item.

  • With the exception of the minky baby blankets that I design myself, I purchase all of the pouch, bag and quilt patterns from other designers. I always give credit on those images what the pattern is, and who the original designer was.

That being said, these are a few of my favorite designers. Feel free to browse their websites for inspiration and patterns to purchase for your own use. I am always looking at adding more patterns to my stock, but these are my tried and true favorites at the moment.

  • I currently accept venmo, zelle and paypal for orders. I will send payment confirmation details and invoice after we discuss the details of your project and your vision, and are in agreement on project details.

Payment is due in advance of a project being completed. Thank you for your understanding!
